Similar to how I don’t want to be a Christian, Buddhist, or Atheist, I don’t want to be an American. Similar to how I don’t want to be a scientist, an economist, or a physician, I don’t want to be an American. I don’t want to JUST be an American. I don’t want to JUST be a specialist. I want to be everything.
I don’t want to be a European, a South American, a North American, an Asian, an African, a North Polean, or a South Polean. I want to be a Worldean, I want to be a Globean. I want to be a part of everything at the same time, but not in a FOMO (fear of missing out) way. Rather in the sense that I want to contribute to the prosperity of the Globe. I don’t want to be an American because I don’t only believe in America’s success.
I don’t want to be the first. I don’t want to be the smartest. I don’t want to be the funniest. I don’t want to be the richest. I don’t want to be the prettiest, the most powerful, or the best (whatever that means). It’s all relative anyway.
I won’t fight for the prosperity of just ONE country, of just ONE religion, of just ONE idea, or just ONE area of study. If it exists, it deserves to exist. I am not the judge of what is “allowed” to be or not to be.
Therefore, I am not an American. I am a Globean. I believe in the success of the globe. I am a patriot of the world.
